Creative Psychotherapy for Adults

A confidential and supportive therapeutic space for adults across Northern Ireland. There can be many reasons for seeking therapy. You may be experiencing a difficult period in your life, trying to understand past experiences, struggling with relationships or emotions, or simply feeling that something needs to change. Creative psychotherapy offers space to explore these experiences safely and at your own pace.

What Can Therapy Explore?

People seek therapy for many different reasons.

You may wish to explore experiences connected with:

● anxiety or worry

● stress or feeling overwhelmed

● bereavement or loss

● difficult or traumatic experiences

● relationships

● self-esteem or confidence

● identity

● life transitions

● emotional difficulties

● patterns that feel difficult to change

● feeling disconnected, stuck or unsure of yourself

You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong.

Part of the therapeutic process can be developing a better understanding of what you are experiencing.

What Is Creative Psychotherapy for Adults?

Creative psychotherapy does not mean that every session involves art. Sessions may involve talking, creative materials or a combination of approaches. Some experiences can be difficult to explain using words alone. Creative approaches can provide another way of exploring emotions, memories and experiences. You remain in control of how you engage with the therapy.

Do I Need to Be Creative?

No. You do not need to be artistic and there is no expectation that you will produce artwork. Some clients find creative approaches helpful, while others prefer mainly to talk. Therapy is adapted around you.

What Are Sessions Like?

Sessions provide confidential, consistent time to focus on you and what you are experiencing. I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable. You do not need to prepare anything before your sessions and there is no expectation that you will know exactly what you want to talk about.

Sessions are approximately 45 minutes. The fee is £65 per session. Sessions are normally [weekly/fortnightly. Therapy is available throughout Northern Ireland.
